The Pinnacle of the East

Mount Washington’s notoriously quick-changing weather can be seen in these two photos made 20 minutes apart, just below the summit on Saturday. In the top photo made at 7:45 AM clouds and snow begin to move into the region. At 8:05 AM the summit was completely socked in by snow, clouds, and 40-plus mph winds. (Robert F. Bukaty/BDN)
